How to merge PDF files
- Choose two or more PDFs, or drop them on the page. They open in your browser.
- Use the arrows to put the files in order. The first file's pages come first. Press ✕ to take a file out.
- Press Merge and download. You get one PDF, merged.pdf, made on your device.
An example
The two sample files are a one-page resume and a one-page reference letter. Move the letter up, merge, and you get a two-page PDF with the letter first: one attachment for a job application instead of two.
A 12-page contract and a 3-page signed addendum merge into one 15-page file, in the order you set.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and no limit on files or pages.
Can I still select and search the text?
Yes. The pages are copied as they are, so text you could select before is still text in the merged file.
What doesn't carry over?
Bookmarks and fillable form fields. The pages, their text and images are kept.
One of my files won't open
It may be locked with a password. Unlock it first, then add it again.
I need to hide something before I merge
Black it out with the Blackbar redactor first, then merge the redacted file with the rest.
